I, plain and simple, do not think EA built the West Coast system properly. The QB gets rid of the ball quickly and the AI doesn't have the complexity to run the scheme properly. High interception QB's and a majority of dangerous throws.
A "crutch" system based on timing and short passes to allow for yards after the catch.īut in Madden 08, the West Coast scheme is considered aggressive of that due to it's high pass frequency and the opposite of the system's goal is often what I see for teams that run it. The West Coast offense was created for QB's with a weak arm, the whole point was to create a safe "easy" passing game comprised of throws that even a lesser QB could make without the need to stretch the field or risk dangerous passes. Wondering if I'm the only one who noticed this, or what everyone else thoughts are.
